History:

Mitsue is the adopted daughter of the Shiraishi and the third 'child' of the couple. She has one older sister, Setsuna, that doesn't live with her family anymore, pursuing a career of a lawyer in Tokyo, and a younger brother, Kotaro, that's ten at the start of the series.

Mitsue doesn't know much about her heritage other than the fact she was left in front of the couples house with a letter begging the family to take baby Mitsue in and take care of her because her true family was poor with already six siblings and they couldn't feed another mouth in the family.

Despite that, she doesn't hate her real family, she always thanks and blesses them before every dinner that she has, praising her real mother every time someone asks her about the family.'Oh, old ma? Bless her soul, she has to take care of my other six siblings, but one of those days, I'll meet her, and I want to thank her for not letting me die, for giving me another chance to survive.' She would tell anyone that asks about her mother.

She studies in the same class as Kagome Higurashi, they are deskmates and also best friends, or so, Mitsue considers her close to a family, another sister. Most of Mitsue's childhood involved being around Kagome's family shrine and prying there. She was homeschooled for one year, thus why she is older than Kagome by one year but despite that still attending the same grade as her.

When Kagome fell into the well, she was there too, prying for her adoptive and real family only to suddenly be tugged into the well and find herself into another world.

About Him/Her

Personality: Mitsue is quite the foolish child tho, the lack of her real family made her quite stubborn. She is quite the nerdy type, knowing a lot of information that a child her age shouldn't know. The homeschooling made her quite socially unstable, always stuttering and developing a tick of having her face burn red in color before she hides her face in her hands and whimpers like a child, apologizing while going so.

Her social skills may suck but her imagination is in continuous development, always sketching away and writing her ideas in a notebook that she keeps with her at all costs.

She is often seen during cutscenes, sipping away tea or coffee while looking out the window of her bedroom, pencil in her other hand while her brown notebook rests in her lap.

Once she warms up to you, she is quite the chatterbox, making light jokes and most of the time just listening, talking only when the situation calls or when she gets asked. Kagome jokingly calls her the therapist of the group, mainly cause Mitsue is so quiet that you forget about her being there and also listening to all their rambling without sketching a word.

During the first 2 weeks into the feudal era, Mitsue had decided on cutting her hair short, a little above her shoulders length since it always got into her way.

When she fell into the well, the demon inside there grabbed her ponytails and that also made a lot of her hair fall off due to being ripped.

She also has a weapon, and like Kagome, owns a bow along with several medicine bottles tied to a sash around her waist and hidden into her obi.
